The 7 Signature Glazes at Kaji Glaze, Ranked by Heat

Seven glazes. One halal, chicken-only kitchen. The hardest part of ordering at Kaji Glaze isn’t what — it’s how hot. So here’s the whole lineup, ranked from gentlest to fiercest on our five-point heat board: Mild → Medium → Hot → Nashville Hot → Shut Up & Pray. Every glaze below goes on fried chicken, burgers, wings or a bucket — all 100% halal.

1. Honey Garlic — 🌶️ Mild

Sweet, sticky, garlicky and completely crowd-safe. This is the “bring the kids / bring your spice-shy friend” glaze — glossy honey and roasted garlic with basically no burn. Start here if heat isn’t your thing. Try it on a chicken burger or wings.

2. Teriyaki — 🌶️🌶️ Medium

Our most Japanese-leaning glaze: soy-sweet, savoury and deeply umami, with a gentle warmth. It’s the easy bridge from mild into real flavour — part of our wider Asian-inspired fried chicken range.

3. Spicy Gochujang — 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Hot

Here’s where the Asian Soul kicks in. Korean fermented chilli paste brings sweet-savoury depth and a proper slow heat. It’s the flavour behind our hero, the Korean Gochujang Deluxe, and the heart of our Korean-style fried chicken.

4. Yuzu Pepper — 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Hot

Same heat tier as gochujang, totally different personality: bright, citrusy yuzu against sharp Japanese pepper. Zippy, aromatic and a little addictive — the most “grown-up” glaze on the board. Another star of the Asian-inspired lineup.

5. Kaji Original — 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Nashville Hot

Our house signature at true Nashville-hot strength — cayenne-forward, smoky, buttery and building. If you want the Kaji Glaze flavour at serious heat, this is it. Pair it with Korean BBQ loaded fries to cool between bites.

6. Nashville Hot — 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Shut Up & Pray

The real deal, dialled to the top of the board: dry, fierce, unapologetic cayenne fire. This is the Tennessee original, done halal. New to the style? Read what Nashville hot chicken actually is before you commit — then meet it head-on at halal Nashville hot chicken.

7. Honey Sriracha — 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Shut Up & Pray

Don’t let “honey” fool you — this one sits at the very top of the heat board too. Sweet up front, then a sriracha wall of fire on the finish. The sweet-and-brutal closer for heat-seekers. Best tested on wings so you can go all-in.

So… which glaze should you get?

  • Never spicy: Honey Garlic or Teriyaki.
  • Love flavour, medium heat: Spicy Gochujang or Yuzu Pepper — the sweet spot of our Asian Soul.
  • Here for the burn: Kaji Original, then Nashville Hot or Honey Sriracha when you’re ready to pray.
